Following demand and the success of its Wraptite and Procheck A2 airtightness membranes, A. Proctor Group is launching two additions to its range of high performance A2 fireproof membranes.

Probreathe A2 combines breathability, good water resistance, fire resistance and airtightness in one membrane. Probreathe A2 is an airtight woven fiberglass membrane with a PU coating and has a reaction to fire rating of A2-s1,d0 when free hanging or installed on a minimum A2,s1d0 substrate and is suitable for applications over 18m (11m) suitable in Scotland). Ideal for use in rainscreen/facade construction, Probreathe A2 is a vapor permeable membrane that can be used either directly on the sheathing or over the insulation.

Probreathe A2 Air is a woven fiberglass membrane engineered to give the fabric excellent water resistance and breathability. Suitable for use in rainbreak/facade construction, Probreathe A2 Air is both air and vapor permeable and is designed for use either directly on top of the sheathing or over the insulation. Probreathe A2 Air has a reaction to fire rating of A2-s1,d0 and is suitable for applications over 18m (11m in Scotland).

Another key benefit of both membranes is that they are strong and durable, serving as a temporary protection of the building until the primary exterior cladding can be installed.

As buildings become better insulated and more airtight, moisture management in the design phase becomes critical. The introduction of Probreathe A2 Air and Probreathe A2 membranes will improve energy efficiency and reduce the risk of condensation in residential and commercial buildings.
